The
Black Lion is Khadim NDiaye from Touba in Senegal.
The Black Lion has been performing for many years and has experience
in different types of dance and is also a choreographer, musician and singer. Khadim has been touring Africa performing in
many countries there for over 10 years. In 2008 he started performing in Europe and then started his own business
the Black Lion Dance & Music Company.
Khadim has a special spiritual gift and can walk through fire without
burning his skin. When he was a baby only just starting to walk he walked into an open fire at his mothers home in Touba,
Senegal. It was a family gathering where this happened and one family member noticed Khadim in the open fire dancing
and laughing in the flames. His mother then quickly took him from the fire and checked his body, there was no damage to his
skin. They quickly took him to the village doctor to be checked out and the doctor said that Khadim was not harmed
in any way.
It wasn't until later in life when Khadim started to perform with fire after special
training with a spiritual mentor.
